Dialog SMS

Dialog Sri Lanka mobile phone subscribers can send SMS text messages from any part of the world to their loved ones, friends or business contacts in Sri Lanka via the Internet while they are abroad. These Messages can be sent only to other Dialog GSM subscribers and only 15 phone numbers can be included at a time. And the maximum number of characters per message is 160. If the SMS message receiver's mobile phone is powered off or out of range, messages are stored in the network and will be delivered when their mobile phones are powered on or reachable through the network.

You pay only 25 cents for each message (every 160 characters) sent locally. If you have prepaid double account then your SMS text message will cost just 10 cents for each SMS text messages you sent and there is no fee for the incoming SMS text message means it is free if you are getting SMS messages to your mobile phone.

If you are registered Dialog customer you can send SMS messages from Dialog GSM web site very easily. The Dialog web site will allow you to send SMS to recipients who are customers of Dialog GSM only. You can send a single SMS text message to many of your friends. Your mobile phone number will be shown as the sender of the text message. For each sms that you sent through your web account, you will be charged 0.50 SL Cents

To send and receive short messages, you have to preset a Message Centre number provided by the Dialog Telekom Ltd.

The message center number is +9477000003.

After reading your mobile phone manual, you must do this only one time if your mobile phone is not receiving SMS messages or if you can't send them.
1: Enter Menu Mode on your handset
2: Select MESSAGES
3: Select WRITE MESSAGES
4: Select MESSAGES SETTINGS (for some hand phone models if necessary)
5: Select option for MESSAGE SERVICE CENTRE number or its equivalent
6: Enter Message Centre Number: +9477000003
7: Confirm selection.

TO SEND SMS TEXT MESSAGES FROM DIALOG WEBSITE YOU MUST BE A CUSTOMER OF DIALOG TELEKOM.
