Sri Lanka's popular mobile network offers News Alert directly to your mobile phone and Smartphone instantly from your favorite News Provider. They used to charge Rs 30/- as flat monthly charge from you through their billing system. if you prefer you can activate the service whenever you want. Like wise you can deactivate the News Alert service when ever you want through their SMS service.
Here is the method for to activate the SMS News Alert Service.
Once your mobile Phone is ready to send SMS messages,
Type <Code> and send to 678
Code is the place where you select your favorite News Provider. If you like Derana then Type DERANA and send the message to 678.
Deactivation. If you want to stop the News Alert service that you are receiving then
Type OFF <Code> and send to 678
If you like to stop the service from Derana then in the place of Code, Type OFF DERANA and send it to 678

Price:
The monthly rental is Rs. 30 per month for each of the News. If you select 5 News media then you will be charged SL Rs.150/- +Taxes.
