SMS text messages as Xmas Greetings for the Christmas Day were sent through Mobile phones, hand held gadgets and web based programs all over the world. As most of the people are buying new mobile phones and many people learn how to send and receive SMS text messages there was a big surge in the number of SMS greeting massages on this year Christmas day. Even the Arab countries didn't left behind. There too a lot of SMS messages sent through the mobile phones and web sites.
In the Asia Pacific region a 15.5-percent increase was marked from the year 2008. The Swedish people did sent a record 76 million SMS text messages as Christmas Greetings to their families and friends.
High numbers of SMS text messages are expected to be sent in the coming New Year 2010 as New Year Greetings.
