Indian speed SMS text message sending competition.
UniverCell – The Mobile Expert, conducted its first round of India's first National Speed SMS Championship at the Garuda Mall, in Bangalore.
There where 500 registered participants who where invited to the venue, in various batches. Participants had to contest in groups of 5. It was the survival of the fittest and fingers flew. The thumb-war had its mix of tensions and ended with some nail biting finishes. Contestants thumb-warred-it-out against opponents by texting 140 character SMSes that appeared on the screen. Each contestant was asked to message from a mobile phone provided by UniverCell. For the first time in India, contestants felt what it was to be a part of an exciting and entertaining SMS Championship.
'Sambar is a vegetable stew or chowder based on a broth made with tamarind and toovar dal' was one of the texts that was displayed for the contestants to let their fingers loose.
