Kuwait Government to Send Important Notices by SMS.

Ministry of Interior is in support of Viva the telecommunication has designed a that will send out important information through the mobile phone SMS system. It will send SMS text alerts to its citizens and residents like election registration reminder, nationality papers, visa expiration date, new passport issuance, residency expiration notices, driving licence expiry, traffic tickets and many more reminders an notifications.

This program was perfectly designed an implemented by the VIVA the first Telecom company to do such a giant step to support the country with the support of the MOI. This service will inform the people about the above information to take them to make necessary action to do things perfectly to have a smooth day to day life. And the notices may prevent them unnecessary spending and travelling too.

To get this service the person must have his/her own mobile phone. To become a subscriber to this SMS notifications and reminders fro9m the ministry through the VIVA, customers must send one SMS with the message "E <space> type the civil ID number. Then send the SMS tex message to the following number 55250.

There will be a service charge of one time only payment KD 1.

Then there will be a charge for the SMS message which you receive. Normally it is priced as 40 fils per each SMS you receive from them.
