15 SMS cheaters including 2 women who used to cheat mobile phone owners by sending that they had won prizes from big companies such as PETRONAS, SHELL and Akademi Fantasia were nabbed by the Malaysian police. The winners were told to pay some money to foreign accounts to collect the prizes once they respond to the fake SMS which comes as the winning notification. All the suspects were between the ages of 23-35. The SMS victims had lost a lot of money.
Also Police officers found many mobile phones and accessories, many account books, identity card, international passports, border passes and cards stating that the mobile phone owners had won prizes.
So if you receive any messages from unknown persons don't respond to them as they will slowly make confident in them and will cheat you of your money through this SMS scam.
