In Abu Dhabi from September this year you can pay your Taxi fare by sending a SMS from your mobile
phone to the instructed number and your fare will be charged from your pre paid account and you will get the
receipt from the taxi with the available balance in your account. While your mobile phone will also get
confirmation about the transaction in the form of SMS.
The newly developed system e-payment system introduced by a leading taxi company in Abu Dhabi will ease
the people from taking loose changes for the taxi fare and also will reduce the arguments with the drivers for
the balance money.
The pre paid card can be bought from the nearest petrol stations or supermarkets and later can be reloaded from your bank account when it is necessary.
So be ready to get your taxi drive with your pre paid card and mobile phone and forget about carrying loose money to pay for the taqxi fare.
