Twitter will allow SMS messages with it web as post and receive for most of the important countries.
This kind of both ways service is only available for the USA members currently. Recently the officials had talk with Bell and now Canadian users can send and receive SMS with out any extra cost; of course you have to cough the carrier plan.
As per the Twitter MBD Director, they are taking necessary steps to make this both way service for free to most of the important countries in the Europe and Australia. And they are planning to make it the same way for all over the world.
If you are a Twitter member set your phone and member page to receive SMS if it is available to your country.
