In the internet there are facilities to send and receive SMS to Bangladesh mobile phones by paying a small fee or Free. Many web sites offer free services, to get them you have to join them online and get a membership. This is good for Bangladesh people who are staying in far away countries, specially students to contact with their loving families back in their homes.

Some web sites allow sending E-mails to mobile phones in B'desh which will be converted in to SMS.

To activate this service the mobile phone owner must contact his service provider to enable this service.

Normally 160 texts are allowed in the SMS messages and if more than that is typed as SMS message, it will break in to more SMS message and it will be sent to reach the receiver. If the SMS message is advertisement supported one you will get only around 80 texts per SMS messages.

To register you must use your mobile phone Message option (with GP number) Write type REG send (to) 9767Send.

A SMS will be sent to you with your password. With it log in to Web SMS Service.

Banglalink offers SMS in their service, while some of their packages offer 50 SMS per month Free.

While Banglalink offers E-mail to SMS, where you will have unique e-mail address like 0191XXXXXX@banglalink.net and will allow you to receive emails to your mobile phone as SMS for free. You will be able to send and receive e-mails from anywhere in the world. You don't need to have expensive computers, internet, special phones to send and receive e-mails.

AKTEL to AKTEL is 1.00 Taka, and AKTEL to other operators are 1.25 Taka. Also they offer their customers to send SMS, voice SMS from overseas at special rate.

Teletalk offers web based SMS service from their web site. To use this you must register with them.

In your mobile phone's option Messages write Message type REG (to) 4767 Send. Your login password will be sent to you from Teletalk to use their Internet SMS Service.

For sending each SMS to 4767 Tk1.00 and to 4768 Tk10.00 (for 10 credits) will be deducted from your account. Excluding VAT.
